Witr

Definition

The odd-numbered prayer that seals the night — 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 rakʿāt.

Example

The Prophet ﷺ said: make witr your last prayer at night. In the Ḥanafī school witr is wājib; in others a strong sunnah.
