Al-Asmāʾ al-Ḥusnā — the Most Beautiful Names — are the names by which Allah has named Himself in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah has ninety-nine names, and whoever memorises, understands and acts by them will enter Paradise (Bukhari 2736; Muslim 2677). While this specific enumeration is not considered the strongest in grade, it is the list used across traditional references and daily-dhikr apps for centuries. Scholars note there are more than 99 names of Allah in total; the number 99 refers to a specific set chosen by Allah, not a limit on His names.
