ʿAqīdah

Shirk

Definition

Associating partners with Allah in any form — the one sin He will not forgive if a person dies upon it without repentance.

Example

Major shirk: praying to a saint for rizq. Minor shirk: riyāʾ — performing an act of worship to be seen by people.
