Definition
A codified school of jurisprudence — the four Sunni schools are Ḥanafī, Mālikī, Shāfiʿī and Ḥanbalī.
Example
Different madhhabs on qaṣr: all agree a traveller may shorten; they differ on the minimum distance and how long a stay cancels it.
