Sunnah (as ruling)

Definition

A ruling: the legal grade for deeds the Prophet ﷺ did regularly — rewarded if done, not sinful if omitted.

Example

The sunan before Fajr and after Maghrib are sunnah muʾakkadah — consistently upheld by the Prophet ﷺ.
