Nifāq

Definition

Hypocrisy — professing Islam outwardly while hiding disbelief, or the signs of hypocrisy even in a Muslim.

Example

The Prophet ﷺ said the signs of the hypocrite are three: lying when he speaks, breaking promises, and betraying trust.
