Hadith 30 of 42
Title
Allah's limits
Translation
Allah has prescribed obligations — do not neglect them. He has set limits — do not transgress them. He has forbidden things — do not violate them. And He has been silent on things out of mercy to you, not forgetfulness — so do not probe into them.

Commentary
Four commands in one line. Especially the last: what Allah left silent, do not invent rulings for. Much religious anxiety comes from manufacturing questions the Lawgiver declined to answer.
